Rough night - better day

Rough night last night. Liam couldn't move his left arm somehow and was really cranky all night long. I don't really know what happened, but he is pushing himself up on his knees since yesterday. I'm guessing he sprained his arm a little bit by pushing himself up. Went to the pediatrician this morning and of course it was all better when we got there. He was just in a great mood afterwards and we went to Ihop www.ihop.com in Ashburn. It's ok for a Dad + Kid to go there. Food was ok this time and there is a changing table (clean) in the men's room. That's a plus.
After that, we went to the Dulles Town Center and walked around inside and out. Looked at all the stuff we can't afford and spent almost 3 hours doing this. It was great.

This stroller is easy to handle and it reclines easily too. Highly recommend it!
The little one was taking it all in from his new seat with a great new view for him. He even missed his afternoon nap. It was fascinating...
Went to Wegmans www.wegmans.com in Leesburg on the way home and got a few things. This is the best place to change a diaper so far. They have a family room, you can fit the stroller in and it's really "comfortable" to move around. A+
Wegmans is our favorite, shopping wise anyways. Great store from top to bottom.
Finished the day with making our own Baby food. We have the "Super Baby Food" book by Ruth Yaron www.superbabyfood.com as our little helper. If you want to know about making your own Baby food, you have to get this book. My tip of the day! It's awesome and we have a lot of food ready to go now.
Next swim class tomorrow. Something to look forward to...

Out on a Sunday

Had a great day at Hunters Run Wine Barn yesterday.

Liam really loves it there and he is always happy to see his girlfriend. Very Kid and Dad friendly. You have to go by there if you just want to wine down on the weekend. A real treat! Went to Forno Ristorante in Ashburn afterwards. Kid and Dad friendly too. The only m...inus - no changing table in the mens room. Kind of a hassle changing a diaper on the toilet seat. Let's see what this week will have in store for us...

Swim class got cancelled

Swim class got cancelled today. Still to much snow in the way.
So we went out anyways to Wegmans in Leesburg and had Lunch. Love the subs! Especially the "Old Fashioned". Mmmmh....
After that we went to a friends house and he told me that they pay $300 for child care every week. That is crazy. I mean, I'm staying home with our little one and we are really tight on money right now, but how can you afford that kind of money??? That is just crazy. You are working your behind off, just to pay for child care! Unbelievable. And than you don't even know if your child is in good hands.
On the other hand I feel really bad that I don't bring any money in and that we have to stretch every single Dollar. It's not easy right now, but I believe that this is the best for our son. Not the money part of course, but the fact that one parent is with him at all times. I wish I could work part time somewhere, just to make it a little easier on us. My wife is just great and she is trying really hard to make enough money for us. She is a flight attendant and she is flying a lot one month and not that much the next. It's just the way it is right now. What can we do.
Liam is still working on his 5th tooth and he had big trouble falling asleep tonight. He is rolling over like a big guy and it can't be any longer and he starts crawling. Can't wait!!!

Crazy Snow

This snow is crazy! Our little one is still to young to remember any of this, but we took a lot of pictures of course.

Liam is working on his 5th tooth (the 3rd on the upper level)and tomorrow will be his first swimming class. That will be fun.
He is just a joy and so damn cute. What can I say.
Almost 8 month now and he makes every day special...
